Exceptional
It was perfect
Liked: This is such a special place to visit. Once you venture down the long driveway you arrive at a beautiful monastery overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Monterosso. The grounds are so beautiful bringing out the child in me wanting to explore. Inside the place is so unique and special with a courtyard in the center. For visitors I would highly recommend having a car when staying here but we loved the remoteness and tranquillity of the location.
Liked: Gorgeous property, welcoming staff, amazing experience away from hustle and bustle of Main Street. Breakfast each morning was delicious and so fresh. We had an amazing time on this property.
Memorable
Liked: The location was spectacular, with views that were remarkable. It is on a hill overlooking the sea, and the grounds are set up to maximize the views. And at night you can see stars. Also, because of the location, it is extraordinarily quiet and peaceful. Also, it is a renovated, centuries old Hermitage, so quite charming. It is within walking distance of multiple trails, so is perfect for hikers. To get to Monterroso or other Cinque Terre towns, you’d take a cab.
Beautiful View from a Unique ‘Castle’ Hotel
Liked: Situated on top of a hill facing Monterosso al Mare and the Ligurian Sea, this hotel has an amazing view! I enjoyed the view with coffee and a pastry each morning, a special memory from my vacation. Mr. Thusit was welcoming and accommodating — providing all the help and support we needed. The property was very well kept and affordable for the service you receive.
Disliked: The wireless internet was inconsistent when the hotel was full. It did not bother us as we were looking to minimize distractions, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

Liked: Spectacularly renovated 13th (or 14th?) century house overlooking the town & the sea. Amazing breakfast, gardens—and a quick ride into town even though we felt worlds apart from the crowd! Highly recommend.
