Good
Despite poor sleep made the best of the beauty of the location
Liked: Location, electricity, hot shower.
Disliked: The futon/sofa bed was horrible and only fitting for young children

Liked: It was in a fantastic location. Bed was comfortable.

Terrible experience with owner and Booking.com
Liked: Was not as described. Unit was not clean, no washing machine, not on the ground floor (45 steps to unit). Poor communication, no instructions, no useable closet space. Booking.com was not helpful.
Disliked: Everything, we left the property in less than 15 hours.
A short stay in town
Liked: Location. Met expectations. Suitable for our needs. Secure. Clean.
Disliked: No washing machine as stated. We were aware it was a small unit but it was difficult moving things around to change functions of the space.
Spend a little more and stay somewhere else
Liked: Monterosso is a beautiful place, the whole area is spectacular.
Disliked: When we got into the property there was no electricity. In the owner's notes he stated to contact Roberta that lived close by. Roberta was not home, come to find out she has a job now and does not take care of the property. I called the "emergency" number the owner had given and even emailed him several times to let him know there was no electricity. No answers. After almost 2 hours of waiting Roberta came home and was nice enough to show us the breaker box so that we could turn on the electricity. The owner sent an email at 9:30 p.m. blaming the outage on a brownout. That's completely understandable but, he should have had a note in the property stating where to find the breaker box should the electricity be out. All the other properties around us had electricity. We have since received several emails still blaming the outage on a brownout but never did he apologize or give the location of the breaker box, he got rather ugly about the whole situation. Thank goodness for Roberta, she was extremely helpful. There are notes inside on where to turn on the hot water heater and a couple of other items. All he needed was another note or even return a phone call.
