  Exceptional stay in a quintessential Italian village

  Liked: We drove from Paestum to Orvieto on September 7th and stayed through September 9th. The drive to get to Orvieto was easy, but when we got there, we had to deal with the notorious ZTL zones. These zones do not allow tourists to drive in the zone unless you have a permit that can sometimes be arranged by the host of the room you are renting. Problem is that Google Maps doesn't seem to know where you are in these zones. ThEy have cameras that snap you license plate and then mail you a ticket. They say it's about $80.00. Regardless, we called Laura, the host and owner, and she told us what to do and was outside waving at us when we made the last turn. The entrance to the space was really tight, so we didn't drive during our stay. The location was superb. The small alleys and roads were exactly what I think of when I think of Italy. The room has a common kitchen with a fridge and coffee station. Very clean. About 10-15 steps from the ground to enter the common area and then the room. Highly recommend Atmosfera d'Arte. Old town is all around you in this place!

  Disliked: I am not a fan of the ZTL zones for multiple reasons. But the room and the host were perfect. This is a place we would return to. I can't think of anything that would have made our stay better.

  Great from start to finish

  Liked: The rooms, (bedrooms, on suite, kitchen and sitting room) were just beautiful, comfortable, air conditioned, and a lovely balcony to boot. Easy parking and centrally located. We couldn't ask for anything more.
