Exceptional
Simple but very clean and convenient
Liked: Small family owned hotel, spotless clean rooms, lovely staff and only 3min from Palermo Centrale
Disliked: All good!
Liked: Breakfast was ok. Location: so-so. With a few unhoused people near the location, with occasional human waste on the sidewalk— But otherwise safe and fine.
Disliked: Cleanliness on the street needs a little improvement.
Perfect for train station!
Liked: If you need to be near the train station then this is the perfect hotel! Literally a few minutes from the exit. They were really accommodating with our late check in. The room was so spacious and super clean. Had all your necessary amenities and toiletries. Would definitely recommend. Only thing to note is that once you’ve been buzzed in make sure you go up to the 5th floor where the hotel is as there is no indicator or sign where to go once you’ve entered:)
Disliked: If you don’t need to be near the train station it is slightlyyy further out than the historic centre for example. But is super close to transport links so just depends on your preference.
Liked: Signora Maria was an excellent host! She was incredibly kind, and thanks to her using a tablet to translate between English/Greek and Italian, our communication was flawless. The location of Albergo Cavour is very central, just a short walk from the main train station and the city center. The hotel is located on the 5th floor of a stunning, historic Sicilian building. My room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated in a traditional style!!
Disliked: The only downside was a persistent, annoying noise (possibly a heat pump or laundry equipment) coming from the 4th floor for many hours of the day, which I found quite bothersome.
Liked: Large room with comfortable bed
Disliked: No air conditioning

Liked: A beautiful old style room with high ceilings and a retro lift to take you all the way up to the fifth floor
