A B& B that was a marvelous find in Palermo
Liked: Amarillo was a little gem in Palermo. We were greeted by Veronica, a bubbly young lady who made our stay memorable by her helpfulness and ready smiles. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, in an apartment in a building that was situated in a lovely area with many shops and restaurants, yet was quiet and sedate. We were a group of 4 couples holidaying together, so we were the only guests at that time. Veronica readily acceded to our requests for breakfast to fit our dietary requirements and she surpassed herself with the quality and variety of items every morning. She was truly a most efficient and effective hostess. The rooms were cleaned too everyday.
Disliked: There was nothing to dislike.
Liked: We had a really pleasant stay at Amarillo! The location is great, especially if you are planning to explore other parts of Sicily, as the bus station and the airport bus stop are both nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable and Veronica was incredibly kind and helpful. She gave us some great recommendations on places to visit and explore. We also really appreciated being able to leave our luggage there after check-out, as we had a late flight that day. Breakfast was simple but delicious. One thing to keep in mind is that some rooms face the street, so you might hear some traffic noise. However, the windows are well insulated, so it was not too much of an issue for us. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it!
