Fabulous
Great value
Liked: Camplus is very modern, spotlessly clean and convenient enough to the action in central Palermo without it being too close. About 7 minutes walk to the Cathedral. 3 minutes walk to the train station to get to Palermo Airport. Location of Camplus is very quiet and attractive. Camplus will organize an airport transfer if you have a late flight which we found very convenient as we needed to get to Camplus before the reception closed at midnight. I'll be looking to use the Camplus facility in other Italian cities in the future
Disliked: The breakfast was fine but basic enough with a limited choice of cold meats and cheese.

Liked: Not the type of breakfast I eat: bagel/toast, crisp bacon, coffee. Modern hotel, clean, across from historical buildings, close to cathedral. Male staff more attentive and helpful than female staff. Presence of students not a good thing. Noisy kids lighting fireworks in front of building should be stopped. Kids did what they wanted without regard to other people. Staff did nothing to help orient me to the city, should be given training.
Disliked: See above: self centered kids making noise and firing fire crackers. That Should not be allowed. Possibly illegal. Too much “horse play” in front of hotel. Self centered juvenile delinquents. Not being raised to consider how their actions affect other people. Feed student patrons separately from adults in another room.

Liked: We stayed at the Camplus Palermo Normanni at the beginning of September when the weather was still unusually hot What I don’t think we had realised until a few days before we arrived was that it was university accommodation, but actually of a very high standard and there were no students around when we were there It’s very well located in a quite residential area, about at 20 minute walk from the city centre and a 20-25 minute walk to the train and coach station The rooms were large and well furnished, and the bathroom was excellent. There was good WiFi, and the air conditioning worked well Breakfast was served in a self-service canteen. It was adequate but not luxurious, with a selection of hot and cold items plus a variety of drinks There are two options for getting from the airport, either take the train to Palazzo Reale-Orleans station, a five-minute walk away or take a regular coach to the coach station, which is the a 20-25 minute walk to the hotel. The free circular bus stops around the corner opposite the hospital, but note it is not terribly reliable Finally, look out for the puppet theatre at the beginning of the street and do visit it if it happens to be open!
