Exceptional
Liked: Great flat, perfect base for moving around Palermo. Very close to the historical old town and the market. The flat is well equipped with everything you'll need for your stay. The host was really helpful and friendly.
Disliked: I'm sure it's only temporary, but there's roadworks/renovation works carried next to the flat and it was pretty loud. Also I wouldn't recommend walking the neighbourhood at night as it can get pretty wild.
Liked: Close to the city center and the main market of Palermo and Palazo di Normani. Easy to find a place to park for free
Disliked: While the stay was generally fine, there were a few downsides worth mentioning. The neighborhood felt a little unsafe when coming back late at night on foot from the city center. The AC didn’t cool the apartment very effectively and could only be used when you’re inside, as it requires the apartment key to work. Also, the towels provided were quite worn out and could benefit from being updated
Great apartment, sketchy neighborhood
Liked: We stayed five nights. The apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious and had great lighting throughout. The A/C worked great, as well as the WI-FI. The hosts were very helpful and attentive. We arrived by car, and the apartment is located just within the Old City. Which means, if you drive into the Old City area, you will need a special permit that costs €5/day. Our host, was gracious and helped us procure a permit to park and drive in the Old City. The hosts provided both umbrellas and sun umbrellas, as well as many sundries, cleaning supplies and cooking supplies. Hopefully, more likeminded people will invest into the area, because these people are definitely doing their part to improve the neighborhood.
Disliked: In our opinion… The mismanagement of Palermo’s government. It city has a huge immigration issue. Mass amounts of people are living in apartments that were never built to accommodate the influx of people in this sized area. Sadly, the result is that mounds of trash are EVERYWHERE. Their water quality suffers, and people can be found living in the streets. In short, the city is now a ghetto. Still safe, but for how long???

Liked: Very good location and it had everything we needed. Fast wifi and even netflix. The hostess was very helpfull and cheerful.
Very nice place
Liked: Very nice, clean apartment, lots of amenities, no issues. Well-located in the historical center, close to the Palazzo dei Normanni.
Disliked: The neighborhood has seen better days, with a few ruined old buildings. Not really a problem, just a heads up.
