Exceptional
Liked: I have bitten by mosquitos in a very strange way, the worst in my life! Also, it was not that clean and there was a clogne in the bath as well. Overall I would say this si like a rate 5/6 hostel and it was very expensive. No kitchen or fridge to cook! Also, it wasn't luxurious at all. It has no element of luxury.

Great price but not great value
Liked: I missed a connecting train and was late getting back to Palermo. As I was only looking for a place to lay my head, I passed on the Ostello Bello and took the Hostelo-Luxury given the price and my familiarity with the location. Check-in online was problematic but the welcoming host squared it away when I showed up. He explained what was on offer (€6 Airport Xfer and €4 Towel) and showed me to the room with it's somewhat complicated locking system. I would say let's fast forward to the end but, to do so, I would be ignoring a key warning sign. For a place that charged for everything it did seem strange that there was a sign at the front desk saying "want a second sheet? Ask, it's free!" 14 hours later, as a nurse rubs calamine lotion to bed bug bites on my scalp, back and legs, I know why! There were also some dodgy dudes about the place. As a veteran hosteller, it was a disappointment. P.S. Before the staff, offer the expected rebuttal, think twice. It's not about you because you were great. It's about the bites!
