A genuinely wonderful host and a well-located traditional apartment
Liked: The apartment is in a very convenient location for exploring Palermo, but what we appreciated most was Dario himself. He is a genuinely kind, thoughtful and welcoming person who really cares about his guests. Throughout our stay, he did his best to make us feel comfortable, bringing us coffee, breakfast and even lovely gifts for our little boy. When problems arose, he was always willing to help and even arranged for a technician to come on a Sunday. We truly appreciated his kindness, generosity and personal attention. He is a wonderful person, and we want to give him full credit for that.
Disliked: Although we really enjoyed meeting Dario and appreciated his wonderful hospitality, there were a few challenges during our stay. The main issue was the limited electrical capacity of the apartment due to the building's construction age. Using everyday appliances, such as the air conditioning, kitchen equipment and water heater, sometimes caused the power to trip. We often had to switch things off or reset the main circuit breaker, which wasn't ideal during the August heat, especially when travelling with our three-year-old son. There were also a few cleanliness issues upon arrival, some missing essentials and occasional difficulties with the Wi-Fi. My only suggestion to Dario would be to mention the electrical limitations clearly in the listing, particularly during the summer months, or perhaps reconsider renting the apartment during the hottest weeks until a solution is found. I believe this would make things easier for both guests and himself. Having said that, Dario genuinely went out of his way to help us, and we will always appreciate his kindness, thoughtful gestures and personal attention. We understand that some issues are not easy to resolve, especially in an older building. We simply feel that holidays should be a time to relax without having to worry about everyday comforts. We wish Dario all the best and hope he sees our comments as friendly, constructive feedback. He is a lovely person, and with a few improvements, his apartment could offer an experience that truly reflects the warmth of his hospitality.
Great stay, my first visit in Sicily and I wish I could stay there more!
Liked: Excellent location of the place - shops and bus station nearby, just next to one of the main streets. At night you can fill great vibe, as the street is always full of people and safe, while the apartment remains very quiet inside. The bed was also very comfy!

Liked: The location was great, very quite room but in the very vivid place with lots of bars and restaurants. Big flat, well equipped kitchen. The host was friendly
