  Comfortable room in an old palazzo set back from Main Street

  Liked: Room was very comfortable - roomy, great bed, strong and hot shower. Breakfast was a lovely spread with more options than we needed! And location was PRIMO, a block or so from the opera house. A tiny elevator helps with your suitcases (phew). The proprietor gave us an excellent tip about a nearby bus to the airport, which was spot on.

  Disliked: Nothing could have been better given the property. Visitors should be aware this is a floor in an old palazzo, a pensione where the proprietor explains how you enter the building (key), the B&B (different key) and the room (different key). There's no "reception desk." We thought we'd need parking but didn't, so I can't comment on that, but I believe there is parking at the facility.

  Very good and classy deal in the centre of Palermo

  Liked: Greatly located in the historical centre of Palermo, in a palazzo of Italian style with a friendly owner and helpful staff

  Disliked: Maybe the extra bed in a family room could be more comfortable

  Great property close to everything

  Liked: Everything. Very clean property right in the middle of old town. Our host Giuseppe was wonderful and helped us with parking. Breakfast was wonderful served by a lively staff.

  Disliked: Driving to the property in the middle of Palermo was difficult. Giuseppe met us and we followed him to the private parking.

  Overall, we loved the homey feel of this hotel and would return to it if we were to visit again

  Liked: Initially, the main reason for booking this hotel was because it had free on-site parking. In addition to this, we appreciated even more about the hotel. The building/spacious room itself was designed with mid 19th Century features, high ceilings and ceiling medallion, highly detailed ceramic tile flooring, tall windows with balconies in both main room and bathroom. It felt a bit like staying at grandpa's house, the furniture was a mix of vintage and eclectic, yet uncluttered and comfortable. The hotel manager/owner was friendly and spoke enough English for us to communicate. He was quiet and unassuming yet you felt a certain comfort in asking questions as needed. He was the only staff member ever at the main desk and was there from early morning to (at least) late afternoons. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of food to choose from. The serving staff were very friendly and attentive, bringing out juice to each customer's table and refilling anything on the small buffet table that needed replenishment. I liked that we could put a sign on the door to not clean/disturb unless we requested it from cleaning staff. The parking attendant was friendly and organized. We let him know the day before if we would need the car for the following day and he made sure that it was parked in a manner for easy exit. The hotel is in a decent location/walkable distance to many of Palermo's historic sites. Overall, we loved the homey feel of this hotel and would return to it if we were to visit again.

  Disliked: The only small problem we had was the attachment that holds the handheld shower head was broken when we got there but we were able to rig up a system for it to work by tying it with plastic to hold it in place. Also, I did not see a hotel safe but there was plenty of furniture and drawers to keep personal items out of sight.
