Very good
A nice stay overall
Liked: Supermarket, shops and restaurants available on site. Many on site activities and play areas. Very close to the lake and town.
Disliked: Many insects in the bungalow. Sofa bed uncomfortable. No wifi in bungalow.
Liked: Great campsite for families. Kids loved the swimming pool area.
Absolute dump, danger to lives!
Liked: The fact we all could have been killed and nothing was done by them at all in the slightest is some what extremely concerning! Not even a fire alarm!
Disliked: You mean the mouldy; dusty shack they gave us when the pictures show a fancy static caravan?
Pleasant with lots of room for improvement
Liked: Our group of 18 South African family members recently stayed at Camping Bella Italia and, overall, we enjoyed a pleasant family experience. The beautiful Lake Garda setting, family-friendly atmosphere and range of facilities made it a good destination for a large multigenerational group.
Disliked: There are a few areas that we feel require urgent attention. The beds were not particularly comfortable, which affected the quality of our sleep. More concerning was that we had no hot water on two of the three evenings of our stay. For a group of our size, especially after busy days exploring the area, this was extremely inconvenient. We also found some members of staff less helpful than we had hoped when assistance was needed. A warmer and more solution-focused approach would have made a significant difference to our experience. If we had not mentioned that we already paid the cleaning fee prior to arrival, they would have let us pay double Camping Bella Italia has many positive qualities and great potential as a family destination. We hope management will address these concerns, particularly the hot-water supply and guest service, as these improvements would make an otherwise enjoyable stay considerably more comfortable.
