Good
A great budget option offering excellent value for money
Liked: I loved the 20 minute walk down the Mincio River into town, the location was perfect for me. I'm glad I decided to pay the extra for a river view, it was worth every penny to wake up to the mountains beyond Lake Garda. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The building and rooms are dated, but everything was very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed using the Spa, and was fortunate to have it to myself for the 90 minutes I booked for €20!). Overall, I had a great stay at Rivus and would happily recommend it as a budget friendly option. I'd gladly stay again if I returned to Pescheira.
Disliked: Breakfast was ok, but could have had more variety. It was fine for my 3 day stay but any longer would have been too repetitive. The website refers to cooked and pickled vegetables on the breakfast menu. As a vegetarian, I was looking forward to these but they were nowhere to be seen. The fruit was nice, but the same every day. A good selection of pastries. I didn't have dinner in the restaurant.
Liked: Lovely hotel not far from town center (~15min walk). Helpful friendly staff, great breakfast, clean large comfortable rooms. And cute little pony behind a fence just outside the hotel!

Disliked: Awful location, overlooking main very busy dual carriageway. Breakfast poor, low quality food. Quite often smelly. Air conditioning switched off so rooms were uncomfortably hot.
Excellent place to explore the whole city
Liked: The location is amazing, right next to cycling path and river connecting the islands. Breakfast was delicious, and the room was really clean. From the balcony there was an amazing view of the mountains. I enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend this place.
