  Overall: excellent location and a decent base price, but once the pet fee and the optional trash charges are factored i

  Liked: Great location, but undisclosed fees undermined the value The property is very close to the city center, which we really appreciated. The apartment was quite clean, though the furnishings are getting old.

  Disliked: The kitchen lacked some basics such as a wooden spoon or a small knife for chopping, and the scratched plastic cutting board and non-stick pan are due for replacement. We'd recommend that the owners consider soundproofing the ceilings. Every morning around 6 a.m. we were woken by stomping and running from the apartment above, which is not what you want on vacation. Our biggest concern is the transparency of fees and rules. There is a €10 fee for taking out the trash, which was not mentioned anywhere, and it is charged per bin. With around five bins in the apartment, that would come to €50. We ended up carrying the trash out ourselves, but we don't understand why guests should have to, and had we known in advance, we would have reconsidered booking. We also only learned about the €15 per night pet fee on the day of arrival, which came to €45 in total. We travel often with our small dog and are used to pet fees, but we had never been charged for a small dog before. On top of that, we only discovered the house rules after arriving: no dogs on the bed, no dogs on the sofa, and no dogs around the pool area. The owner kindly agreed to let our dog sleep in the bed with us, as he's used to it, but the situation was uncomfortable. We understand the pool restriction, but not why the dog couldn't be on the garden lawn. The listing calls pets "very welcome", yet in practice they can do almost nothing. We'd suggest adding all of this information to the Booking.com listing, for example in a Q&A section, so guests with pets can make an informed choice before booking.

  Will definitely stay here when we return in the future

  Liked: Location was great. We arrived by car, parking was included and easy to access. Easy walk into town to explore and eat. The pool was beautiful although we didn’t have time to swim. There was a gym that had everything you would need to get in a workout on vacation. Good water pressure and comfortable beds. The hosts were very accommodating and available for any questions we had.

  Liked: The property was exceptionally clean, well-organized, and comfortable. A special thanks to the host, who was incredibly helpful, clear, and provided us with all the necessary details—even though we arrived very late at 2:30 AM. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I would definitely stay here again!

  Lovely place

  Liked: Lovely place, neat and clean, and conveniently located about a 15-minute walk from the center of Riva del Garda. The private car park is a great advantage, especially when traveling by car. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer!
