Fabulous
Wonderful stay
Liked: Lots of living space, balcony, breakfast, staff. Nice to have a pool, but even better if it would’ve been heated, it was very cold. Also extended opening times of the pool would be nice.
Disliked: Room somewhat dated. Blow dryer didn’t work, but was replaced. Construction in front of the hotel was a plus in the weekend because of less traffic coming by, but minus during the week because then they are actually working on it.
Liked: Staff were fantastic, pool area was lovely, location was good unfortunately due to the city working on the tram lines we were not able to use that, but bus routes were a short walk through the park, breakfast was amazing so much choice.
Disliked: Would have been nice to get an evening meal in the hotel, but we did find a restaurant round the corner.
Liked: Massive 1 bedroom suite with seperate lounge. Full kitchen which I didn't use. Nice modern bathroom. Beautiful breakfast every morning waiters serving fresh coffee. The pool was very nice to cool Off in and the pool area had a serviced bar area with ample seating.

A wonderful hotel when discovering Rome
Liked: We had a wonderful stay at Aldrovandi Residence. It has a family-run feeling to it. Daniele and all staff members are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious with a pentry and kitchen table, the beds are comfortable, and it is quiet and calm. There is a large breakfast buffet with a wide range of choices. The location is great, next to the big and beautiful Borghese park. Highly recommended!
The perfect hotel for a balanced sightseeing/relaxing visit to Rome
Liked: The room was perfect, and the aircon made a huge difference for the 40c temperatures! They're very spacious and although we didnt use it, the kitchenette provides a nice alterative to eating out every night. The pool was unheated but perfect for the heat. The breakfast had a decent selection but was of only average quality. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Our room was cleaned daily and was left spotless. Location-wise, the hotel has lovely surroundings being close to the park, and is only a 30/40 minute walk to the main town. We found this to be the perfect hotel for a balanced trip of sightseeing and poolside relaxation!
Disliked: The pool bar mojitos were not very good at all, but this didn't overly affect our trip. Not a point against Aldrovandi at all, but the tram system was undergoing restructuring when we visited (September 2026), which meant the usual tram that stops directly outside the hotel wasn't running and was instead replaced by a bus, which we found didn't arrive at all half the time. There were still other options for public transport, but these were a small walk away.
