Great location, lovely clean boutique hotel, with simply but good breakfast and wonderful staff

Liked: Hotel is well situationed. Dead-end street so fairly quite. Shops and restaurants all around and Via Nationale is just a block away. Took a taxi from Termini to hotel, 11euros. Hotel is on 3rd floor of a bldg accessible by elevator. Easy check in intructions were provided. Ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. We had Rm 310, clean, good size, quiet room, good size bathroom and shower. Asked for a luggage rack and it was provided immediately. Good size closet with safe. Bed was confortable with extra pillows. My only complaint was that the mattress was only covered by a bed sheet, no mattress protector. I immediately brought this up to the front desk. It was evening, so I asked for an extra sheet and added an extra layer to the mattress until the next day when housekeeping arrived to redo our bed properly. Breakfast area is indoor and outdoor on the terrace. Guests select the breakfast time slot everyday as the it is not a large space. Breakfast items was simple, good and fresh. Its not a huge selection, but was fine. Cold meets with cheese, scrambled or hard boiled eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, sliced fresh fruit, and of course pastries. Location on the hotel was great. Very close to Termini train station and walking distance to both Barberini and Republica Metro stations however we just walked everywhere. We did take the local bus to Trastevere on night and it was 1 bus ride, LINE H, very easy. Local bus stop and taxi stop are also very close, located at the corner of Via National and Via Genova (hotel address) in front of the really large white palazzo and the Santi Vitale Basilica. We took a taxi from this taxi location stop to Fiumicino Airport, took 45 min at 9am, also very convenient, fixed rate 55E. Paid $400Cdn/night to also include breakfast on Booking.com(not required), a bit steep but booked last minute and worth being close to the center.

Disliked: Mattress cover was not on the mattress the first night, only 1 cover sheet. I asked for an extra sheet for the 1st night since it was late evening and proper mattress protector was put on the 2nd day of our stay. Apparently it was an oversight by housekeeping. Front desk staff was apologetic and assisted as needed. Breakfast was simple, could use a bit more variety from day to day but not a big deal.

    Fabulous and warm

Liked: Absolute gem of a very quaint boutique hotel. Situated in a quiet side street in a beautiful old building with great character. Super location very walkable to most main sites. Rooms very comfortable and tasteful with everything you need. Lovely continental breakfast with some local delights. But what makes this hotel is the wonderful staff so friendly and attentive. Nothing was a bother they happy to share recommendations and local information and all done with such warmth. I will be back to Rome. It is such a beautiful city and will stay here again.

    Disliked: Nothing.

Highly recommend - delicious breakfast and spacious, comfortable room

Liked: The room and ensuite was very spacious and nicely decorated, it had air con, and the bed was really comfortable. Very impressed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious, with great options. The breakfast staff in particular really took care of us, and were so friendly and hospitable, giving us recommendations on sightseeing and restaurants. The hotel itself was really well-located, really central. Fantastic value for money, I couldn't imagine finding a better hotel for my stay in Rome. I highly recommend and would stay here again next time I visit.

Disliked: There was nothing I found fault with.
