Hotel needs bit of maintenance, overall disappointing service
Liked: Check in was easy and efficient. We were able to get our room key about an hour before standard check in time which we appreciated. The location was brilliant, which presumably is the reason behind this hotels fairly pricey nightly rate
Disliked: Room was shabby, which was disappointing as we had upgraded to a superior room. The teas and coffees weren’t replaced and the wooden frame on the bathroom door kept falling off. We didn’t report it as the hotel should have been aware and we didn’t want to have to wait on maintenance. We also got a phone call one morning at roughly 2am from reception asking us to keep noise down. We were sleeping and this call woke us up. We could then hear a loud ish voice coming from further down the corridor which presumably was the problem. Hotel staff should have checked this out rather than guessing what room was the issue and then calling and disturbing their already tired and well behaved guests

Liked: Good Location, Friendly Staff, but Room for Improvement – 3/5 We stayed at Hotel Seventy Seven in Rome for four nights. Overall, our stay was reasonable, thanks to the hotel’s excellent location and friendly staff, which made it a convenient base for exploring the city. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. However, several issues affected our overall experience. Unfortunately, room 509 was very noisy. The elevator was located directly beside the room, and its motor and mechanical operation created constant noise. The soundproofing between rooms also appeared to be inadequate, as we could hear the television in the adjoining room quite clearly. This made it difficult to enjoy the peace and quiet expected from a four-star hotel. Breakfast was average and could have been improved. We were also disappointed that the hotel’s advertised spa facility was unavailable throughout our entire stay, particularly because it was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. We were not informed at check-in that the spa was unavailable, which was especially frustrating, as we had no opportunity to adjust our plans or expectations. The hotel’s location is excellent for visiting Rome, and the friendly staff were a definite positive. However, the noise issues in our room and the unavailable spa meant that the stay did not fully meet our expectations for a four-star hotel. Overall, Hotel Seventy Seven has several strengths, particularly its location and staff. However, improvements to soundproofing and clearer communication about unavailable facilities would make a significant difference.
Lovely, clean hotel in an excellent location
Liked: Bed firm and comfy and shower was excellent. No noise from other rooms. Room was always cleaned early. Safe and desirable location.
Disliked: Room was rather small.
