Very good
Location was good for transport
Liked: Location from transport very good. Breakfast was very basic. Room was comfortable enough but had no hot water for more than 24hrs. Had to speak to reception. On website it says breakfast is served at bar Palchetto Bistrot, 5m away but when I went there they said no. Reception then said it was on premises. Misleading.I told them about website error but I don't think they fixed it.
Disliked: Breakfast. Not very friendly.
Disappointing
Liked: Good position. 5 mins from Terminale. Close to Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and to Palazzo Barberini.
Disliked: We were allocated to a annex building which must have been a rival hotel at some stage, about 100m away, with its own entrance and security. No big deal but the booking was a little deceptive, not really explaining that this was not in the hotel, but separate. The room and ensuite were adequate. They originally would have been top notch fittings ( beautiful tiling, high quality) but nothing had been done for 30+ years. The hot water was scorching hot, way above current regulations. The room walls needed a bit of repair with small cracks and the bathroom needed a temp regulator/thermostat. The rooms needed to be painted. There was no hot water jug, but on asking, one was provided the following day. There was no coffee or tea despite the Booking.com entry that it was to be provided. The air con inlet needed a good clean, so presumably the filter hadn't been touched for years. One of the light fittings needed to be secured properly and the wall around it replastered. An easy job. All in all, it was an underwhelming experience for the money. €250 per night. I suspect BZAR, the owners, purchase older properties that have decent cash flow, then run their properties into the ground and don't reinvest in maintenance and upgrading. Its a shame. The staff who service the room should check all the equipment is there, so its the fault of management for not giving them checklists and not doing enough supervision. Not the staffs fault.
I have stayed at the Sonya before and had lager room for the price. It is a good location to train
Liked: Good location to train station. I did not have breakfast. The room was very small.
Disliked: For the price I could have been given a better room. It was too small.
Bate abs switch
Liked: Sonya hotel switched us to Oazia hotel which was terrible
Disliked: Room was very outdated, hard to find, eminites where not as I evpected
Don't go. You have been warned
Disliked: Awful tiny room not renovated since 1962. Uninterested and unwelcoming reception staff. Terrible lift situation. Very difficult to enter the hotel after 11pm. Ridiculously expensive. Almost felt like a scam to be honest.
Good but could have been better
Liked: Room seemed dirty, AC did not work too well, windows we had shut and flooded our room with water when we came back to our room after a rainy night.
Disliked: In the middle ground of hotels we stayed at. Nothing too bag but nothing that was a stand-out
