Exceptional
I recommend
Liked: So nice very clean and so beautiful
Disliked: Nothing
Some issues but overall would definitely recommend
Liked: The apartment is small but comfortable, with a comfortable bed, decent AC, and good bathroom and kitchen facilities (though it was an induction hob and not all pots/pans were suitable). The terrace was really nice and private. The apartment was not far from the main train station and was within walking distance of major sights e.g. Colosseum. It was very clean and felt secure.
Disliked: It is quite expensive, even for Rome, given the space is quite small. A couple would struggle a bit. The only way to access is via a narrow spiral staircase so be careful with large/heavy bags. The host did confirm this after I booked but only because I specifically asked, it wasn't proactively stated when booking. I found communication with the host to be slightly unnerving at times. I was messaged a few days to say I would be moved to another apartment in the building, one without a terrace. It wasn't worded as 'would you like a different apartment', it was very much 'you are being moved to a different apartment. I had to say repeatedly I didn't want to move apartments before he would accept this. He also gave me the wrong code for the key pick-up, I had to call to get the right code. He also kept asking me for a copy of my passport, which is not necessary and for obvious reasons I didn't want to provide. He kept messaging insisting on this. I contacted booking.com about this, and frustratingly they forwarded my message to him. Rather than address the issue he just sent a message complaining that I had contacted booking.com. I didn't provide a photo in the end which was accepted, but it was a weird and slightly uncomfortable interaction.
Great accomodation. Hosts contacted us nearly everyday to make sure everything was OK
Liked: No breakfasts were included, but the Host covered two days' breakfasts for free at a local cafe. Fabrizio at the handover of keys, gave us excellent advice on where to shop, bus routes, and places to visit.
Disliked: Nothing.
Kind owners and good value
Liked: The owners were communicative and kind, providing thoughtful information about the apartment and area. They were very responsive to all needs and questions. Quiet street walkable to many locations and public transportation. Comfortable beds and air conditioning, as well as separate spaces for my family to spread out.
Disliked: The building has some graffiti and decor is somewhat outdated.
Great Rome apartment
Liked: Great communication with Dana and really clean
Liked: We very much liked our stay at Luxury Domus. We had a very beautiful terrace with a big table and a comfortable hollywood swing. The location was very central, not far away from the city center; there are multiple buses and a train station quite close to the apartment. Our host, Robert, was very nice and ready to help in all aspects. He even gave us a map of the city and some ideas where to go, what to visit to have a nice time in Rome. I can recommend spending time in Luxury Domus to anyone who would like to visit Rome.
