Liked: Only good thing about this property was the central location. IN MY OPINION, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS TERRIBLE.
Disliked: In my opinion, Deceptive, Unprofessional, and Outdated – I booked a stay at Residenza Antica Roma and was led to believe the room was much bigger than it actually was. In reality, in my opinion, it was absolutely tiny. When I expressed my concerns to the owner, his response was shockingly unprofessional, in my opinion. He told me that because I was paying less than at other hotels, I should just be happy with the room, and he continued to gaslight me about the "great deal" I was allegedly receiving. To be clear, my rate during the stay was still over $250 a night—not exactly cheap. Beyond the cramped space, the property severely lacks basic maintenance, in my opinion. The WiFi barely worked in the room - I could not really connect easily in the room and when it did have a connection it disconnected right away; I had to stand out in the public hallway just to get a strong enough signal. Additionally, the shower water temperature was never consistent, in my opinion. One slight adjustment and it would instantly swing from ice cold to scalding hot. In my opinion, it felt that the hotel was deferring any real updates to the hotel and simply justifying the seeming neglect with the rates he is charging. A slightly lower price tag does not excuse false advertising, horrible customer service, and broken amenities. I would never ever stay there again.

Disliked: Window was broken breakfast not till 8 beds very soft shower water went everywhere tea cups left dirty not enough milk carpets so dirty!

Nice place but could do with some soundproofing
Liked: Excellent location, staff were friendly and helpful, and it seemed like a genuinely historic Italian hotel. We had a shared balcony which was an unexpected bonus.
Disliked: It was difficult to sleep because we were right next to reception and could hear everything outside the door very clearly. Our neighbours in the room next door woke us every night opening their door when they returned to the hotel, as the lock was so loud it sounded like they were trying to open our door.
