Fabulous
Great
Liked: Excellent location, very clean accommodation, helpful staff. I definitely recommend it.
Overall great experience, clean, staff is great, location is beautiful - close to sightseeings and the same time not in
Liked: Very supportive, friendly and helpful staff
Disliked: Overall was a great experience
Great location but you get what you paid for
Liked: The location is close to many shops and the center of Rome. It can be very busy during weekends. The bed was comfy and bathroom was clean.
Disliked: We ordered a taxi through them and they forgot about it. We did not see any hot tub area/breakfast as it was advertised. I asked about it and didn’t really get a clear answer. The shower did not drain properly.
Good hotel / good value for money - perhaps the elevator needs updating
Liked: Location and updated / clean room
Disliked: No breakfast on premises although in the pictures there was a breakfast room.
Great location and staff was great
Liked: Great location if you want to see all the key attractions in Rome. However rooms small.
Disliked: Because it’s a converted older building it was musty so both my husband and I had trouble with the air quality.
Stay Away
Liked: the location was good.
Disliked: Poorly maintained accommodation—we left without staying My wife and I booked San Carlo Suite for our honeymoon in Rome. When we arrived on September 18, the accommodation provided to us looked nothing like the photos on the listing. The curtains had holes and long tears with frayed edges. The upholstered furniture was extensively cracked and peeling. The wooden flooring was heavily scratched, with a damaged section around the base of a column. The skirting boards were chipped and damaged, the walls had visible scuff marks, and one electrical socket was missing its outer cover plate. There were also visible particles and debris on the floor and along the edges. We photographed these conditions. Taken together, the cleanliness and maintenance fell far below what we expected. We found the accommodation unacceptable and left at approximately 7 p.m which, an hour after checking in, without staying the night. This meant finding alternative accommodation in Rome that evening, adding expense and disruption to our honeymoon. The handling of our complaint has also been disappointing. Despite raising the matter with Booking.com, we have received a poor resolution. Based on the accommodation we encountered and the handling of our complaint, I would not stay here again. Update:I raised these issues with Booking.com and supplied photographs of the accommodation’s condition. Following contact with the property, Booking.com informed me that no compensation would be provided. The property also alleged that I had damaged an electrical outlet, which I dispute: the outlet was already in the condition shown in my photograph when we arrived. The complaint has concluded without a satisfactory explanation addressing the documented condition of the accommodation.
