Exceptional
Garden hotel
Liked: Lovely, unusual hotel. Plainly furnished but spotlessly clean. Delicious sandwitches and pastries for breakfast all included in the booking. Chapel and most attractive garden to enjoy. The hotel is close to the Botanic Gardens. The area, Trastevere, is a Bohemian part of the city, with restaurants and little shops open till late. Helpful reception staff will advise on how to reach the Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon etc. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel.
Disliked: The traffic in Rome!!!
Liked: Really close to every major tourist attraction in the city. Very friendly staff, cleaning services on point and I really enjoyed the garden and the fact that they are offering a little breakfast for free to every guest.
Disliked: Sharing the bathroom with other people but it was something I already knew and they keep it very clean.
Great value for accommodations in the centre of Rome
Liked: Excellent location close to good restaurants in Trastavere. Lovely quiet garden and rooftop patio to unwind. Walking distance to many major sites throughout the city.
Disliked: Loved it all!
It was pleasant and comfortable
Liked: How kind and helpful the staff were. The lovely garden view from the room.
Disliked: That the toilet and shower were down the hallway and disconnected to the room.
Liked: The staff is very kind and helpful. Giorgio was incredibly attentive; he indicated great places to eat and was always available to help. Also, the garden of the place is marvellous.
Disliked: Everything was great. For the price charged, the services are very reasonable, so no complaints.
Excellent value hotel in a brilliant location. Highly recommend
Liked: I stayed for 8 nights in two different rooms. A twin room with internal bathroom and a single room with external bathroom. I thought the value of both was excellent, the internal bathroom is obviously preferable, but the external bathrooms were kept extremely clean and there were three for one floor and I was barely aware of anyone else using them, so on a budget, this option is perfectly acceptable. The roof terrace and garden were wonderful spaces to relax after long days exploring the city and I felt like they really boosted the value of the hotel. Having breakfast in the garden every morning was a real treat. The location is excellent and I didnt use public transport at all during the stay. Vatican City is 20 mins walk along the beautiful riverside, The Colosseum is about half an hour in the opposite direction, and then you have lovely Trastevere and restaurants in the historic centre just 5-10 mins walk. One of the best and most authentic restaurants I ate at was just around the corner in the next road (Mirragios). Villa Farnesia is just round the corner and I highly recommend it. Delicious sandwiches, pastries and coffee as an added bonus were really good and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming and happy to help with anything. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place.
Disliked: This is an old building and as such, the sound proofing isnt great. Earplugs were definitely needed on occasions when I had inconsiderate (or perhaps unaware) neighbours.
