Great location!
Liked: Great location and the apartment is really nice and spacious.
Disliked: There is no aircon so during this recent heatwave it was unbearable to sleep.
Nice apt with parking
Liked: Courtyard parking and next to Porta San Matteo
Liked: It is a 5 minute walk from the central piazza Very clean The windows face the sun during the day so you can handwash and dry your clothes by hanging them on coat hangers on the windows
Disliked: I called 3 times no-one answered. A nearby restaurant owner called the person responsible for the keys and I was let in quickly then A funny tapping noise would happen at night
Just a step or 20 and you're inside the Centro Storico of San Gimignano
Liked: Embedded in the wall of San Gimignano this set of apartments are a 30 second walk to the Porta San Matteo gate. The apartment was large and comfortable and while we initially did start in the room we had booked we were able to relocate easily albeit that one of the facilities were share as opposed to being in the apartment, it all worked out. Plenty of space for clothes and getting around at the end of the day and relaxing after a busy sightseeing days or four. A negotiated on-site parking rate that was better than fighting for a parking bay on the street added to the the comfort of staying on the property which also serves as a music or dancing school. We had two fuel stops within 100 meters of our stay so topping up was not left to finding the hidden fuel stations or getting on and off the autostrada and roads of travel.
Disliked: The culprit that insisted on smoking within the apartment boundaries, man that was potent.
Great location if your into history more than convenience
Liked: Great location. Fabulous to stay in an apartment built into the ancients walls of the city. Quiet and lovely little garden.
Disliked: No one there to check in. After waiting and calling and returning an hour later saw a guy for the first and only time. No one ever at reception and no local assistance. Door key and lock a problem every time. Really tricky. Anxious each time we would be stuck outside! No aircon ( and a loft room under tiles so baking hot) cold showers during the night the solution! No internet connection. 3 offered. None available. Couldn’t penetrate the stone walls. Local cafe the only solution.
