  If you love atmosphere and history, this is the right place to stay in San Gimignano!

  Liked: Fascinating building and location, it is a unique experience to stay in a several-hundred-year-old edifice with its medieval towers. Being family owned - a family that goes back in history further than you can grasp - adds to its charm. Bianca is a lovely young lady with an engaging smile and ready to help you with parking tips or any other problems you might have. The gorgeous parlour with its paintings and period furniture takes you back to a time you may always have dreamed of. The breakfast is great and the charming hostess of the place will make sure you have everything you need while entertaining you with stories and the history of the medieval building, the family and San Gimignano.

  Great staff, poor room

  Liked: Location was great and staff were friendly and helpful

  Disliked: Room was ok, a bit dated with minimal amenities but the real issue was the bathroom and toilet. The shower area was probably 2x1 feet and the whole bathroom was probably 4x3 ft. The bidet didn’t work. It smelt. That brought the whole experience down to a 1.5 star. And none of the photos showed the bathroom we got. Rm 6 - avoid it!!!

  Liked: It was an exeptional stay.Very cozy and well decorated with in an antique style.It was well located just in the entrance of the city near Porta San Matteo. The staff was friendly and ready to help for everything you need. I reccomend and I will visit again in the future.

  Liked: It’s right inside the city walls, so you are in the heart of San Gimignano, it’s obviously a historical building therefore no elevators, we should not carry our luggage up with steep stairways and no one to carry it for us either so it stayed in their storage down, where we only took what we needed to the room It has a nice reception room kind pace where there is coffee and tea self service

  Disliked: It seem to be a common issue with the historical buildings, room had heavy toilet smell and when you add the the fact there is no AC which I hadn’t paid attention when i was booking it makes it hard
