  Taranto is a big city, interesting to see it

  Liked: Lovely clean apartment and very helpful owners.

  Disliked: Long way from downtown and old city but bus is ok Environment not so good, but ok

  Spacious apartment but a few challenges during our stay

  Liked: The owners of the apartment have tried to provide a comfortable stay in a spacious apartment. It was well equipped with modern appliances, multiple TVs and air-conditioners, very high speed Internet, as well as more than sufficient utensils and crockery. Communication with the hosts was clear and organised before our arrival, which gave us confidence that check-in would go smoothly. However, on the day, we were unable to reach them for the check-in codes, despite multiple calls and messages. After some time and assistance from Booking.com, contact was eventually made — it turned out the hosts had an unexpected family emergency that understandably took their attention. While we do sympathise with their situation, the lack of communication on our check-in day did make for a stressful and delayed start to our stay, to the point where we commenced searching for alternative accommodation as suggested by Booking.com. Location wise, the free and very easy parking was a bonus, as well as its proximity to good supermarkets and one of the best and friendliest restaurants we've been into in Italy. Unfortunately, we did experience quite a significant amount of noise from the upstairs neighbours at all hours, which did affect our rest. We appreciate that this is outside the hosts’ control, but it’s worth being aware of. All in all, the apartment had many positives once we settled in, though our experience was mixed due to the initial communication issue and the noise.

  Disliked: Noise in apartment units is inevitable and we understand. However, it was quite excessive whenever the occupants in the above unit were home.

  Highly recommended if you are looking for a very homely apartment and safe neighbourhood

  Liked: This property is excellent value for money and the hosts have thought of everything. The neighbourhood is friendly although it is a 50 minute walk to the historical centre. It is well stocked for cleaning and domestic requirements and has a good kitchenette for self catering. The welcome pack of water and biscuits were not expected. One of our guests left some trainers behind and there were no problems in retrieving these even after our departure.Thank you for that. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and the nearby family run restaurant ' Primo Vino' where the Nona still does the cooking, and worth the 20 minute walk.

  Disliked: Nothing we were highly satisfied.

  Exceptional

  Liked: New modern apartment in nice place. Very close to amazing pizzeria, shops and supermarket. Free parking was super nice. Beach is approximately 30 minutes from apartments, but it was not a problem for us.

  Liked: The appartment is nice, well maintained and equipped with the amenities as described and quite spatious. Newly renovated in an old appartment building. The hosts provided us with the welcome water and local snacks, which was really kind. Nice residential area with options for grocery shopping or eating out.

  Disliked: We had a few hiccups with communication with the host via different channels; in my opinion it was slightly overwhelming and unneccesary, but at the end, we sorted everything out. The next issue was parking, as there was no available parking space, and I had to park at nearby shops on the street. Thirdly, regarding the apartment: it was quite musty, poorly ventilated, and had a bad smel when we entered, it was fine after we opened the windows for fresh air. Some of the dishes had not been properly washed and the tea kettle had limescale stains. But ali in all, nothing too serious.

  Excellent

  Liked: I agree with all other positive comments! Apartment is very clean, big and very spacious. It has a living room with a perfectly equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher and washing machine), two bedrooms and a bathroom. Air conditioning in all rooms ensures a comfortable feeling. In front of the building is a large parking area, where you can always find a free parking space. I definitely recommend this apartment!
