Exceptional
A beautiful, unique place to stay and try enjoy Taranto
Liked: It was charming and beautiful. It was located in a convenient part of town. We loved everything about it including the rooftop breakfast!!
Disliked: Nothing
Spacious and comfortable rooms but lacking in certain facilities.. Breakfast terrible
Liked: Room and property was very comfortable and spacious,room had a jacuzzi and an excellent shower,bed was super comfortable so absolutely no complaints there.. A minor point is that a kettle could have been provided which opens up things like tea and hot snacks to the guests
Disliked: The breakfast 💯 No choice,yesterdays leftovers served after each day which tasted stale and nothing like the breakfast that was purported online,plates of hard cheese and a few slices of ham doesn't constitute a choice.. The freshest thing about breakfast was the water,the rest was terrible,although not the fault of Michele I may add.. Overall the breakfast was not of the standard expected,can do much better!! Also steps are not for the faint hearted,steep and high which if you're not careful you could have a bad accident..
A great experience of life in the port town of Taranto
Liked: The room was very comfortable and the design was quite original. The ceiling was unique and the bathroom had original features. Our room was on the ground floor which suited us perfectly as some of the other rooms were on floors with steep stairways. The breakfast on the roof terrace was a very nice experience in itself. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The venue is in the heart of what Taranto has to offer so 10/10 for location. Michelus, our contact and the guy who served breakfast, was very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Getting there by car was very tricky and Sat nav directions were somewhat confusing. The stairs to the rooms in the property & the roof terrace were steep and not for the faint hearted / reduced mobility. The property is in the middle of a residential area so normal Italian life goes on outside your window which sometimes can be loud but that’s life!!

Absolutely wonderful stay at La Dimora Degli Dei
Liked: The breakfast was excellent! Among other things, Michele served us freshly-made foccacia with assorted meats and cheeses and his espresso was absolutely the best! So good! The view from the roof patio was beautiful (if you have difficulty climbing stairs it might be an issue, but we're not young and we were fine-lol). This is an historic site and the architectural elements are fascinating. Also have to mention that the bed was incredible! SO comfortable! The best night's sleep of our trip! And finally, a huge thank you to Francesca, Michele, and Giulia! What a beautiful spot you have in Taranto and we so appreciate your many kindnesses to us. P.S. Be sure and ask how to find Toto at the nearby Trattoria. It's excellent and Toto is wonderful! So enjoyed being in Taranto. We'd love to return!
