Exceptional
peaceful retreat
Liked: Wonderful rooms, comfortable beds, excellent excellent staff
Liked: Attentive staff, lovely rooms. Especially liked the bathroom with the big bath tubs. Breakfast is pretty solid
Disliked: You're gonna do a lot of walking! The hotel is far to one side of the city, so if your destinations are elsewhere prepare for a trek.
Beautiful hotel in quiet Cannaregio, but close to many restaurants and activities
Liked: Beautiful, classy jewel of a hotel in a quiet area of Cannaregio, with the bustling areas just a 5 minute walk away. Room was gorgeous but not huge. Restaurant has a cute private outdoor space.
Disliked: Front staff were professional and knowledgeable, but sometimes inflexible. We had some minor maintenance issues with our room that were never fixed. The front staff suggested a semi-private boat tour of the canals in the early evening, but the guy who drove the boat never spoke – it turned out to be an expensive and beautiful ride, not a tour. Bartenders were not particularly friendly, and our free drink passes weren’t redeemable for cocktails.
Liked: Location was quite but everything accessable.
Disliked: Didnt get offered any nuts with drinks this year. No tea facilites
