Fabulous
Perfect for our days in Venice!
Liked: The breakfast every morning was good, and the rooms were nice. It had a lot of charm and was very comfortable.
Disliked: There are no screens on the windows so mosquitos would get in easily. Our hot water also went out the first night we were there and we had to wait until the next day to shower. We had a bit of miscommunication about how we would get breakfast on a morning that we needed to leave early, but everything worked out in the end and they even brought us a bag of pastries to our room, I assume for a to-go breakfast.
Liked: The breakfast was good.
Disliked: We had a room without a view and thee was building materials on the walk to the hotel. But that wasn't their fault. Also there was an issue with a water taxi we had booked to depart. We waited for quite a while and it appeared he did not turn up,,so we had to make haste and walk to the Station with our luggage. The hotel had tried to contact us by phone to say the taxi was waiting for us but I did not get the call.
A pleasant hotel in a beautiful quiet location
Liked: Pleasant historic building, off the beaten track but with great places to eat close by. Vaporetto stops a few minutes’ walk, on Grand Canal for main attractions, or on north side for island trips. Gorgeous breakfast room opening onto canal. Staff friendly and kind.
Disliked: Some high ceilinged rooms (including ours) have beds on a sleeping platform up a flight of stairs. Not ideal for some guests.
Liked: Excellent location, friendly staff, gave us a few ideas when in Venice. Really liked the fridge and the kettle in the room. Liked the pancakes for breakfast and fresh eggs to order and nice coffee.
Disliked: We only had one small bottle of water for 2 guests. Happy to have anyway, but would have been better if we had two, as we were two guests.

Disliked: One socket for fridge, kettle and light. Requested extension twice but refused. Had to crawl under desk to unplug fridge to use kettle. Broken toilet seat too.
Good location, quiet neighborhood, lots of good eating places nearby. Friendly staff, good breakfast
Liked: Lovely room overlooking a canal. Quiet neighborhood with lots of good restaurants nearby. Fairly close to a vaporetto stop. Close to Murano ferry. Nice breakfast.
