  It was a roof over more akin to backpackers’ hostel than a €400 per night hotel

  Liked: Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was decent.

  Disliked: The room was exceptionally small, smelt of stale tobacco and with no complementary facilities. The room had frayed carpets and in overall quite poor condition, though was very clean. This for a room costing over €400 for the night.

  Disliked: Very old Hotel.. The heating system was not working. Old spring beds, no Trash can, and the table and cupboard were damaged.. very rude restaurant staffs.. they only show as cared when u enter and later treat u bad... Worst hotel in Venice... Please Stay away from this hotel...

  Excellent location

  Liked: The location was brilliant.- just 2 mins from St Mark's Sq. The Shower was awesome! At first, I didn't think it would be but it was superb. The decor to the hotel was grand.

  Disliked: Electrics charging was a bit iffy. The decor was ok but a bit fussy & ornate particularly in the bedroom. Some of the Staff were not so nice - in particular the night staff - the guy seemed really miserable..I did ask him to unlock the door but he didn't smile, greeting me or anything. Breakfast was a challenge.I thought I would be one of the first there but wow was I disappointed...it was chaos!
