A romantic stay in a great location

Liked: Our room was charming and romantic which made our stay in Venice special. Marina had gifted us a bottle of proseco as I had communicated we were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. The location was excellent. We spent our first day wandering only to realize we were a 5 minute walk to St. Marks square. A bonus was the restaurant below us, excellent food and service; it was a great place for dinner, or a nightcap before heading upstairs to our room.

Disliked: We used the gps on our phones which kept getting us lost and we passed the property a few times before we realized it (blame it on modern technology). Marina had provided detailed directions on how to get to the property but again, technology gave a delay in receiving them.

Liked: Our room was so richly decorated in truly venetian style furniture and drapes that we felt as though we were truly in Venice for every moment of our trip! I doubt this would have been the case if we had stayed in one of the modern local hotels. Marina was beyond helpful at every stage of our stay.. from texting detailed instructions on how to enter the building, searching up water taxi timetables and giving advice on where to find truly Italian dining experiences closeby. The breakfast was gorgeously presented and delicious.

    Disappointed

Liked: Close to St Marks square

Disliked: Advertised as having free breakfast and we weren’t offered it. Also they found out 2 days prior to our stay that there would be a scheduled power outage from 1:30-8:30 pm and did not communicate this to us until day of.

Charming and well-located in the heart of Venice

Liked: We had a great stay at this B&B in the heart of Venice, perfectly located in a lively neighborhood and just a 5-minute walk from both St. Mark‘s square or the Rialto bridge. Our room in this historic building was cozy and compact but well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host Marina really stood out and went above and beyond to accommodate all our nerds and wishes. Breakfast was generous and varied and always a great start before exploring the city. Great choice for travelers who value a central location and attentive hospitality over spacious rooms.

Disliked: As the room sits right above a bar, expect some street noise in the evenings. This is authentic to the buzzing atmosphere in this part of Venice but lighter sleepers might want to consider packing some earplugs too.

Marina was a wonderful and gracious host. She couldn’t do enough to make your stay comfortable and offered so much help

Liked: This B&B was charming and so close to all the major sites in Venice. We could walk everywhere. The B&B was only 2 minute walk to St Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace. The room was spacious and very comfortable. They served a very plentiful breakfast with freshly made coffees of choice.

    Disliked: Nothing
