Exceptional
Stunning - we loved it!
Liked: The flat is in a lovely position right by a bridge over the canal. It’s a very quiet area - all we could hear was the occasional sound of distant church bells, tourists pausing to take a photo on the bridge and the swish of a boat going by on the canal. The flat itself is on the ground floor and is beautifully renovated with a mix of classical and modern decor. There’s a small, well equipped kitchen, and two lovely bathrooms, one ensuite. It was in the perfect location for us to explore Venice but also retreat from the crowds when the day was done. There are local shops and bars in the area around the flat, and it’s a short walk from the grand canal and all the bustle of the main tourist areas. We didn’t need heating as it was still warm when we went (in October) but we could see that there were radiators if needed. The flat was also generous with things like coffee pods, loo roll and shower gels, which really helps when you land in a place and don’t know where to buy basics like this. Ilaria, who is the contact in Venice, was exceptionally helpful and kind, so a huge thank you, especially to her. I would highly recommend this flat as the perfect base from which to get to know Venice, and would love to stay again.
Disliked: The only small thing was the second bedroom, which was more of a little corridor between the living room and the main bedroom, separated from the corridor by a curtain. This would be absolutely fine for kids (my daughter was ok there) but not for another couple staying in the flat together.

We (a family of four) had a wonderful stay in this apartment!
Liked: Good hosts! Ilaria met us at arrival and gave us the keys and told us all we needed to know about the apartment. She was also kind enough to help us book an extra night when our flight was delayed. Andrea came and fixed a broken light during our stay. The apartment is beautifully renovated and furnished, has two bathrooms, one big bedroom and a living room plus spaces for extra beds in the entrance and in the hallway. The small kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a short stay. We are a family of four (two grown ups, one 16 yr old and one 12 yr old), and the extra beds and curtains + sliding glass doors by the entrance (where one of the extra beds can be folded down) made it possible for us to sleep in separate ”rooms”, even if it is just a two room apartment. Very nice and comfortable! The view on to the canal is charming and we loved seeing boats go by and hearing people cross the bridge right next to the apartment.
Disliked: The beds are a bit hard… (I have a bad back, so this affected me, but if you don’t, I’m sure you won’t find it a problem). The spazzini (garbage collectors) didn’t always come for the garbage, so we had to bring it to a garbage boat in the mornings before 10. But this wasn’t a big deal. The boat is very near by!
Liked: Lovely accommodation, beautiful furniture,and very well equipped.The peaceful area was perfect for us.
Disliked: Problems with the bath,as we could only use it once,due to the plug being faulty.This was not fixed despite us informing the Agent.
Perfect little gem of an apartment 💎
Liked: The owner was very nice and helpful, both prior to our stay and whilst we were in Venice. The apartment was just an absolute amazing find. We were there in January, so whilst cold outside it was nice and warm inside the apartment. The master bedroom was just gorgeous and a super comfortable bed. I loved laying in bed listening to the canal water lapping the outside of the apartment. Everything you needed in the kitchen and living room. Beautiful decoration honouring the history of the building. So many great little touches to help make our stay a great one.
Disliked: There was absolutely nothing we did not like about this apartment.
Loved being inth ehart fo venice walking distanc to all the majo sites but just off the beate track
Liked: The atmosphere and being in the heart of Venice while being on the less commercial side.
