Very good
Nice place to stay for a short time
Liked: The reception & bar staff was overall friendly and helpful. The bar/sitting area is cozy and it has boardgames and other entertainment options. The bar is open until late and you can walk in and out of the hostel at all times. Locals are there during the day sometimes too. I had no problems with the dorms & bathrooms. The island of Giudecca is quite well connected to other areas of Venice and I liked the quiet area. (Though annoying to buy vaporetto passes.) It has some eating places & a supermarket on walking distance. There was a refill point for your waterbottles. As one other guest mentioned: the bench before the hostel has the best view of the island.:-)
Disliked: My bed was not made when I checked in. This got resolved very quickly though. It was uncomfortably hot the first few days. Food for dinner was almost never available, while bringing own food was not allowed. No facilities to store or cook your own food either. Some security & cleaning staff made me feel uneasy and/or unwelcome by their behaviour or comments. One of the toilets was "temporarily out of order" almost the full 12 days when I was there. For a shorter stay this wouldn't have bothered me much.
Overpriced and not worth it
Liked: I liked that it was on a less densely populated island with a nice view of Venice. There was also a local community feel that was great to be around as well as plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from.
Disliked: For what you get it is overpriced. The egg breakfast for 12 euros (pictured) was underwhelming and they charge for everything (even luggage storage). The rooms are quite cramped and there isn't much space between the bunks. You have to dress your own bed upon arrival and despite requesting a lower bunk (and lower bunks being available when I checked in) I was given an upper bunk. There are also windows between the rooms which let in a lot of light (pictured) and sound so if someone in the next room over is having a conversation, you can make out everything that they're saying. Even if the courtesy light on an individual bunk is on, you can see it very well in the next room. While the location was a highlight, one of my bunkmates insisted on leaving the window open for my entire stay and without a screen, I was getting bit by mosquitoes and eventually my allergy medication stopped working since I was constantly exposed. All this to say, I did not sleep well a single night I stayed there and should have spent slightly more money to stay elsewhere.

If you need stay couple days, just drop of your beg and sleep place its ok!
Liked: Location and stuff, breacfast.
Disliked: Cleanness and very small shower room and toilet space! Just 2 showres for all ladys with 4m2 space! And 2 doors in sjiwer room where are toilets.
Liked: Lively place, reception, lounge were all amazing. Common area for everyone to meet and interact
Disliked: Hostel room, the washroom for it, were below expectations, could have bene better organized.
Liked: Great location, the quiet island is a nice break from the noise and crowds of the center, yet still authentic Venice. Can't beat the view when you step out of the hostel in the morning! I was in a mixed dorm, but the bathroom still separated men/women's, which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lockers are big enough for large backpacks.
Disliked: I was in a dorm of 16 beds, so of course there was a lot of snoring, slamming of doors, lights, etc, no one was getting much sleep, but that's how it is with large dorms, can't be helped.

Unaccompanied under 18's are not allowed to stay in shared rooms, unless they are part of a group that has booked out the entire shared room. The group leader must provide the required documentation to Generator. Failure to comply with these policies will result in automatic cancelation of the booking with no refund. Guests violating these rules will not be permitted to check into the Hostel
Don't forget to bring a valid passport with you, this is mandatory for all Non-EU guests or valid identification documents for EU guests. As per government regulations, this needs to be the physical passport/ID, photos or photo copies will not be accepted.
Failure to comply with these policies will result in automatic cancelation of the booking with no refund.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
