Fabulous
The breakfast is a huge disappointment
Liked: On the positive side, the location is excellent, right in the city centre, with a water taxi stop nearby. The rooms are very clean, well maintained and quiet, the bed linen is spotless, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Everything else about the hotel was excellent, which makes the poor breakfast even more disappointing. At this price and star rating, guests should expect significantly better.
Disliked: The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. For a four-star hotel charging €500 per night, the quality and selection were simply unacceptable. The breakfast consisted of cold cuts, cold hard-boiled eggs, cheap sliced cheese and the cheapest bread. No vegetables, no freshly prepared hot dishes, and no possibility of ordering anything cooked to order. This might be tolerable for one morning, but we stayed for three nights!
The hotel added another layer to our stay in Venice, because of its charm, location and great staff
Liked: Wonderful location, very close to Piazza San Marco, restaurants and transport. The staff was knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great recommendations for things to do and see.
Disliked: The room was quite small. That is also a function of the age of the building, so it wasn't a deal breaker.

Kette Hotel, Venice
Liked: Nicely decorated in traditional Italian style, comfortable beds, clean rooms, decent breakfast selection and many friendly staff but some staff could have been friendlier, rooms could have better lighting and more power sockets. There was an incident outside in the middle of the night that does raise concerns as I could not reach any hotel staff for help or guidance. Emergency procedures need to be reviewed.
Liked: The hotel was exceptional but the bar was closed & as a result it lacked atmosphere.
