Exceptional
Nice staff and breakfast, but did not like the bathroom
Liked: Location was great. Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was a nice variety and delicious.
Disliked: The main negative is that the bathroom needs remodeled. The tub is difficult to get into and extremely narrow. It is a challenge for anyone with arthritis or even mild mobility issues. Elevator works well, but there are several steps to enter the front door to the hotel.
Good hotel, well located and with helpful staff
Liked: Location was excellent - 5 mins from St Marks, but not too busy, down a quiet side street. Very helpful and attentive staff. Breakfast small but fine for us, excellent sized bedroom.
Disliked: The bed was very hard so not so comfortable.
Liked: This hotel was so convenient to EVERYTHING. Restaurants, could walk everywhere. Wonderful breakfast served 7 to 12. I would definitely book here again!!
Disliked: Not a negative thing to stay
Excellent location, but a sewage flood and unacceptable customer service ruined our stay
Liked: The location is excellent, right in the heart of Venice. The room itself was nice, and the breakfast was simple but good.
Disliked: Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by several serious issues. First, our room faced the street and was extremely noisy. We had requested a quieter room in advance, but the hotel wanted to charge us an additional €90 per night just to move to a room away from the street noise. The shower had almost no water pressure, making it very difficult to use. However, the worst experience came when we returned from a long day exploring Venice and discovered that our entire room had been flooded with sewage. Our suitcase and personal belongings that were on the floor were soaked and smelled of sewage. It was absolutely disgusting. When we reported this to reception, instead of apologizing or showing concern, the first thing the staff member asked was what WE had done to cause it. This was both shocking and insulting. We were eventually moved to another room, as it was impossible to stay in the original one even for another minute due to the terrible smell. We did not ask for compensation, but given the severity of the incident and the damage to our belongings, we certainly expected the hotel to take responsibility and offer some form of compensation or at least a sincere apology. Neither was offered. For a hotel in such a great location, the lack of customer care and accountability was extremely disappointing.
Liked: A beautiful small hotel in the perfect location. A quick walk to the main sights but quiet and peaceful. The staff are extremely helpful. Would highly recommend.
Great location, breakfast adds value
Liked: The location is excellent. Short walk from transit and St Mark’s square. It is also slightly off the busiest areas but easy access to Rialto bridge. The lobby is charming and cool. The breakfast has many options and open for 5 hours in the morning. The baristas made the best cappuccinos we had in Italy - which is saying something. The rooms are spacious for Italy, and in spite of the extreme heat, the a/c kept up. The rooms were cleaned daily in timely manner. If there is one knock, the price is a little high, but for Venice, we felt it was good value, and factoring the excellent breakfast, it is actually not that bad.
