Exceptional
Beautiful historic apartment in Angra do Herisimo
Liked: This was a great place to stay, a beautiful period building that the host, Alberto, has lovingly restored, keeping historic features. It was very clean, the kitchen is well supplied, and the location is terrific, a short and beautiful walk into town. The house has brand new, very effective air conditioning, which was great for the summer weather. The washing machine was extremely helpful as we were travelling with children. On-street parking was never an issue, there was plenty available. There is a supermarket just around the corner, so stocking up is extremely easy. Alberto was a wonderful host and even gave us some delicious muffins when we arrived!
Disliked: Some guests may need to be aware that the only WC is downstairs. The walk into town is beautiful but down a steep hill. Both mean that this may not be ideal for those with limited mobility.
Exceptional
Liked: The house is very comfortable and really well equipped. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and keen to ensure we got the most out of our short stay in Angra.
Exceptional
Liked: The information that the host gave us was excellent. He had made a book of restaurants, things to do, sights and lift it for us in accommodation. The host also gave us freshly baked cakes and some drinks. There was also shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the accommodation which is appreciated when you are travelling light. The host was very friendly and helpful.
