A good sized apartment in a great location

Liked: The apartment is in an excellent location, we loved being able to walk to restaurants and cafes, and the wetland walk is great too. It is a large apartment, and was big enough for a family of four and our dog. We enjoyed using the pool, which was very easy to access.

Disliked: We were staying during a particularly hot week, and the apartment has ceiling fans but no air-conditioning. It was very hot and uncomfortable sleeping at night. The apartment doesn't feel very private, because it is on the ground floor and the balcony looks directly on to the pool. The kitchen window also looks on to the pool and has no curtain, it would be great if a curtain could be added there. The shower was a bit tempermental, and went from scolding hot to freezing cold quite often.

Ultimately got what we paid for in a budget friendly no frills place; similar to a hostel

Liked: The property had enough space for our family of four. We appreciated that there was kid/ toddler friendly stuff accessible in the unit (extra stroller, paddle ball for beach, games to play, pool with a courtyard to run around in, etc). The location was okay, about a 10min walk to the beach and some of the main strip restaurants and other places.

Disliked: Most of this review is based on our initial expectations of it being rated 9.0+ and at a decent price. The property was a bit underwhelming on our first day since it seemed to feel as though the unit hasn’t been used in several weeks at a minimum (if not months). The floors were dusty, there were very little cleaning supplies (no garbage bags, no dish soap, limited toilet paper) and the internet wasn’t working. To their credit, the host worked quickly to get the internet situation resolved. The unit was on the ground floor of a large apartment complex and it seemed as though the complex was at 40% capacity.
