Liked: Nice bed
Disliked: Almost everything, poor sound isolation, no A/C, a lot of noite from the room neighbors, municipality lack of respect for the public sound starting 8 am when there is accommodation on the sorroundings like hostels, etc
Liked: This place was ok. My goal was to be near Aveiro and I had a car, so that worked out fine. It is only a few miles away. Ilhavo itself is a very small town and not much of a going concern, but fine for a short stay. The room itself was nice and good-sized.
Disliked: The cleaning schedule seemed a little irregular. One of the bathrooms remained uncleaned for the better part of a day until I mentioned it to the woman who manages the place. It might have been a rare thing, but the bathrooms do not have anywhere to air out but into the shared hallway, so it was slightly rank until it got cleaned. That aside, everything seemed quite clean. Strangely, the wifi was totally fine in my room but didn't seem to reach the further bathroom.
Good location, clean, cute place
Liked: The owner is so lovely and kind. They work hard every day to clean and make the place nice. It has a shared kitchen which is nice and shared bath, but the bath had no hand towels so you had to remember to go to your room to bring a towel everytime you washed your hands...
Disliked: There was a huge festival in the park across the street and the music was so loud and went until 1AM both nights and all say long. When I checked in the owner told me about it so she knew but I really feel she should have disclosed it before hand and given the chance to cancel. When I say loud I mean loud. The entire building was shaking and I had in my ear plugs with my Bose over the ear noise cancelling head phones on and it did NOTHING. Had to close the windows so it was very hot and there was no fan or A/C in the room. They played til 1AM then on the second night, were taking down the stage so no sleep til 4AM. I know the schedule is not the owners fault but because she knew it and did not disclose it bothered me. I really should have been offered some money back. I did tell her and she said nothing. Lovely human but this was a big mistake, will never stay again. Each room should have at least a fan in summer.

Liked: We do not normally book rooms with shared bathrooms and hadn't realised that this was the situation when we arrived so were a bit apprehensive as we had a bad experience in the past when we were walking the West Highland Way. However the shared facilities were spotlessly clean and easily accessible and with two bathrooms always available so overall did not detract from our stay and the shower was good with plenty hot water. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and there was a large common kitchen and sitting room for the use of guests
