Central canal
Around the central canal and Praça Humberto Delgado, where the moliceiros leave from, is the centre of Aveiro, with Art Nouveau buildings, shops and cafés. It is flat and you can walk everywhere.
The railway station is at the end of Avenida Lourenço Peixinho, about fifteen minutes away.
Beira-Mar
The old fishermen's quarter, north of the canal, has low houses, the fish market and lots of bars and restaurants. It is the liveliest area at night, especially at weekends.
