  A good location with everything you need within walking distance

  Liked: The property is very near to CCTB bus station and lots of amenities within walking distance. Supermarket, restaurants, cafes, vet clinic… etc. A plus point is host is very responsive

  Disliked: There is no aircon it can feel quite warm when the weather temperature is high. There is ceiling fan in the room though

  Disliked: The room doesn't match the listing. The photos look older and are shot from very selective angles. The ceiling fan works, but the housing and blade mechanism are under a thick layer of dust — clearly not cleaned in a long time. With no air conditioning, that fan is the only air circulation in the room. The walls are bare, with visible filler patches and old fixing marks. The TV cable runs openly across the wall. No wardrobe, just a metal clothes rack. No bedside table either — a mini fridge does that job. Two small windows set high near the ceiling look onto the half-collapsed roof of the building next door. One window reveal is unfinished, with exposed rotting timber in the frame. The ceiling on the landing has a large patch of plaster and paint peeling off — clear water damage, not just wear. It works as a place to sleep. The problem is that the listing sets expectations the room doesn't meet. Updating the photos to current ones would fix most of this.

  Wouldn’t stay again

  Good value for money

  Liked: The room was cosy and pretty spacious for a family with two small kids. There is a kitchen on the third floor which we used to have breakfast. The hotel is near the city center and the bus stop.

  Disliked: The bathroom needs redecoration.
