  Well worth a stay, stunning house

  Portugal is a beautiful country and we thoroughly enjoyed Cascais

  Liked: The accommodation was absolutely lovely. We were very comfortable. Wonderful options were within easy walking distance. The staff were great. Highly recommended.

  Disliked: The only thing I could recommend is that you remind your guests to be very mindful of the potential for pick pocketers. We had a wallet stolen within the first hour of exploring a nearby market.

  Disappointing

  Liked: The surroundings and sauna was great!

  Disliked: The hotel itself is beautiful, but our stay was disappointing. The shower drain in our room was clogged, so you couldn't shower for more than a minute before having to wait for the water to drain. I reported this to reception after our first night. They said they would check it, but when I asked that evening, the staff had no information about it. Someone then came to our room and told us everything was fine, even though the problem was still there. The bed was also only 130 cm wide. That's fine for one person, but far too small for a couple, especially with my husband being a tall, broad-built man. I asked to change rooms, and reception said they would need to calculate the extra cost. I agreed to pay it. When I came back in the evening, a different receptionist was on duty and there was no price and no information about the request. All in all, it was my husband's birthday, and these issues made it a very disappointing.
