Liked: Clean, comfortable

I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return
Liked: The staff were excellent. Very kind, always accommodating.
Disliked: Everything was great. Everything was very clean, and functioning well. I love that the place is powered by solar. Only a better quality bed support might help, but the bed was ok. The bathroom was excellent, and the room has wonderful windows. The area was very quiet and yet not far from busier areas of the city.
Accommodation across the street from the local prison
Liked: Street parking is free and available. The reason for it might be the fact that across the street the local prison is located. Room and linen were clean. Location was quiet. I cannot comment on the breakfast as we did not eat it at the hotel.
Disliked: We did not realize that the prison was across the street. You can hope that prisoners trying to escape will not run into a house next door but try to get as far as possible as fast as possible. But what does it mean for the safety of your parked car? The hotel was in an old building. I can very well imagine that you will hear people walking in the room above you if the room is occupied. I am not sure what the purpose or benefit of this so called „kitchenette“ is supposed to be. At this hotel you have a microwave and a small fridge as well as a small sink. In the US all motels have this equipment and do not call it kitchenette. The bathroom has an issue with molds through the shower and shower door does not close properly.
Liked: Location, room. Overall it feels like this place was great and a lot was invested few years ago. Solid design, and interesting concept, but everything is getting warned out. It seems like the place doesn't bring enough capital to renovate and unless they reinvest, I don't see how it will survive.
Disliked: I planned to leave a good review to be honest, but the owner or manager was super unfriendly during breakfast. We asked for eggs or some meal that was empty at the moment of breakfast and she somehow got annoyed about it, rolled eyes, and mumbled something in Portuguese. I mean, if you can't provide basic customer service, then what do you expect?
