  Budget luxury in Coimbra

  Liked: For just a little more than a hostel would cost, this place is hard to beat. Ideal location in the very centre of Coimbra, opposite a beautiful riverside park. The building is lovely. The boxes are much more spacious than they look in pictures - bigger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in. The bathrooms in particular are really quite luxurious. Everything is spotlessly clean. I slept like a log - the beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms quiet and well-ventilated. I felt a bit like a little forest creature crawling into my tree-home to sleep! Staff are fun too. Would definitely stay here again.

  Interesting and comfortable stay, perfect value for solo travelers

  Liked: Really interesting concept for a hotel, I liked the concept and feel it is ideal for solo travelers looking for somewhere comfortable and private to rest without spending the most of your budget. The room was comfortable, had all the basics, the shower water pressure and size were great, the bed was comfortable, and the room was incredibly quiet.

  Disliked: There is some small details in the maintenance of the room which should be addressed. First of, the entrance door is heavy and get somewhat stuck with the floor below it, I had to put almost my full weight on it to open or close it. Second the lighting inside the room although cozy and warm i a bit scarce, leaving some very dark corners, specifically in my room on light on one side of the room was not working.

  Exactly as described and surprisingly comfortable!
