Excellent and helpful host, comfortable stay
Liked: The host provided us with detailed video instructions as to the keys and the parking.
Disliked: The sound proofing of the building could be improved.
Very good stay to explore Coimbra with parking spot
Liked: Extremely good located appartment if you want to explore Coimbra. There is a garage included and it is relatively quite, both big bonuses in this location. The owner gave us very good instructions how to get into the garage and into the apartment, and was also very helpful when we had issues with the warm water.
Disliked: The appartment had its best days quite a while ago and could use a modernization. As mentioned in some reviews before, we also had problems with the gas boiler that were solved with the help of the owner - still, on the long run, this should be solved instead of leaving it to the guests to call for help.
Liked: Good location just off the main area. The bathroom is nice, and the kitchen with the washing machine is great.
Disliked: Pillows need replacing, lounge suite is just nearly falling apart and is so uncomfortable. No air conditioning 😞

Not a good place to stay

Disliked: I booked it via Booking.com. The owner didn’t clearly communicate with the check in instructions in Booking.com message box. I had to call upon arrival and was told I needed to check WhatsApp. When I checked my WhatsApp, there’s one message from the place asking to fill out the check in which I already did. When I called back, there’s owner said I should have received a message from a different number. For security reasons, I blocked all unknown numbers reaching to me. After back and forth with the owner sounded quite irritating, I provided my husband‘s WhatsApp number to receive the check in instructions. None of the instructions were in English but we figured out by looking at the pictures & short videos. There’s no kitchen paper towel or a napkin box. Then later we found there’s no hot water in the place. We have great experiences with other places except this one. Overall, it’s not a good experience!

Disliked: Pictures do not match the apartment. I had a late check in for 40 minutes because the guy who was supposed to meet me at 3 pm decided to have his lunch at this time and the location given by the host was wrong. The furniture and equipment are old and the apartment is moldy. The host is not responding and not welcoming and the check in guy wasn't interested in anything but to be done. The building reeks of cigarette smells and strong cooking. The walls are thin and you can hear all the partying going on in the building all night.
