  Wonderful Place to stay in Estremoz

  Liked: Check in was easy and the front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. Since I arrived before check in I used their beautiful pool area with comfortable chairs and was able to store my luggage. The outdoor eating space and bar menu was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Highly recommended place to stay in Estremoz when on a cycling trip through Portugal. Excellent value for price paid. Great location inside the walls of the center city but easy to get to on a bike.

  Disliked: The only negative I have is that the hot breakfast food was not brought out till 8:30 on the morning we were there, which is a disappointment to cyclists who are eager to eat and and get on the road before the afternoon heat.

  Comfortable peaceful and welcoming

  Mini break in Estremoz

  Liked: This is our 5th stay at this hotel because of the secure parking, excellent buffet breakfast, good WiFi speed, spacious rooms, modern Aircon system and location into town. There's a large swimming pool and covered breakfast area if one wanted to sit outside for breakfast. Dinner menu is a la carte. Beware Saturdays are market days. Great fun for shopping and only 5 mins walk from the hotel. Very close to a great choice of restaurants but beware many are closed on Mondays..

  Disliked: The shower is inside the bathtub and is very slippery. Have suggested to management to supply rubber mats. Beds are quite hard, as usual and a kettle in the room has to be requested at check-in. Also, the standard (cheaper) rooms are in a separate block to the main building where breakfast & reception is. Not practical if it's raining!!! And it's slightly uphill. So it's worth going for the superior rooms in the main building where the buffet is as well as a big living room with a fireplace. No bedside plugs for charging.

  Liked: The hotel is charming, clean and very peaceful, with lovely spacious areas and plenty of character. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was good. We only stayed for one night and had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was very good. The food was of excellent quality. The absolute highlight of our stay, however, was the young lady working at the restaurant on 31 August. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was truly exceptional — extremely competent, attentive, kind and genuinely welcoming. Any employer would be very lucky to have such an outstanding member of staff. She really made a difference to our stay.

  Disliked: The mattresses were not particularly comfortable and felt like older sprung mattresses. Our first room also had a problem with the toilet flush, although we were immediately given the option to change rooms, which we really appreciated. Overall, the hotel could benefit from some maintenance and updating in certain areas. Considering the level of comfort and the condition of the hotel, we felt the price was a little high.

  A great hotel with parking and pool

  Liked: The location is great, excellent car park, lovely pool area. Very good food in the restaurant both breakfast and evening meal, excellent staff.
