Exceptional
great place, great location, very confortable
Liked: Well decorated place, on a parallel street to the main street. There is no traffic on the street, this means you need to walk 50 m to get to the car which is not a problem at all. There is free parking outside the old city walls, less than 5 min walking. Location is amazing, walking distance to key landmarks of Evora. Pr de Giraldo, Se, Templo, capela dos ossos, etc. Check in and checkout was very efficient ( get key from a lock box, leave the key at a lock boc) The hosts are very nice and providing very quick feedback on messages. Large bed, confortable, spacious and practical bathroom. Coffee Machine included ( Delta Pods) Practical kitchen, but we did not cook. washer (/ dryer?) machine but we did not use either
Disliked: The couch on the open kitchen / living room is for children or smaller adults. not as confortable form the main bed.
Well-equipped small apartment in excellent location
Liked: Small apartment in an excellent, mostly quiet location, in a quaint building on a narrow cobbled side street Well-equipped with kitchen necessities for cooking, washer/dryer, ironing board etc. Helpful friendly hosts who quickly responded when we had an emergency Very comfortable bed
Disliked: Bathroom - hard to ventilate and to dry towels If you wanted natural light you needed to forgo privacy since there was foot traffic right outside the apartment and the only natural light came from the door and one window Better suited for 1-2 nights rather than the 6 nights we stayed Very quiet at night but there was daytime foot traffic (Including schoolchildren) and renovations going on nearby. No problem if you are out all day
Liked: Good view
Disliked: No elevator. 3.5 flights of stairs.
Cosy centrally located with great hosts, but lacks light, airflow, and isn't good for tall people
Liked: The location was great; super central. We were never more than 10-15 from anything we wanted to see in the city. There is a terrific spa around the corner from this place (Inacquaveritas). The place was clean and tidy with nice decorations, and we had everything we needed. Checkin was easy and the host was always responsive. The book of recommendations for the city was very helpful -- the restaurants in there were all amazing, so don't miss reading that.
Disliked: Bathroom: The shower flooded the bathroom more than one and we had to mop it up -- the drain seemed to clog quickly, so back-to-back showers were risky. A sign on the bath wall read "don't throw towels in the toilet", I think they meant "toilet paper", so we put it in the trash, which was a bit disappointing. Doorways: I am 187cm and I had to duck my head through every doorway because they are too short to walk straight through -- this should have been mentioned in the ad. This is not a great place for tall people to stay. Bedroom: Bedside tables on either side of the bed would have been nice, but at least there are plugs on both sides (which is rare). Air Flow: There's barely any light in the bedroom because there's no window there, nor in the bathroom -- so there's no way to get air flow through the apartment unless you leave the front door open. We often had open a window and then prop the front door open to get air flowing, and hope no one walked in off the street. Would have been nice if a dehumidifier had been left out.
Liked: The interior and it was close to everything we needed or wanted to go to
Disliked: The shower did have some mold
Liked: Beautiful accomodation, town & host. I wish I could have stayed longer!
