    No complaints

Liked: I dont get the bad reviews, everything was nice and in order: room was clean and spacious, had AC, a mini fridge, TV, and a desk so you could work too. The bathroom was nice too, there was warm water and good water pressure, and I didnt have an issue with the drainage as other commenters. Towels, toilet paper and shower gel were provided. I also didn't really notice any humidity issue. The place was well located but quiet, the bed was also comfortable, I managed to get a good night sleep every night (and I stayed for 5 nights). Can't really speak about the shared space/kitchen because I didn't use it. The owner was also kind and patient. If I were to visit Evora again I think I would book this guesthouse again. I would recommend it to others too.

Disliked: There was one night when we had no electricity, but it was solved the next day. Besides that, I have no complaints.

Come on my guy, the other reviews tell me this stuff has needed sorted for a while

Liked: Pros: The location was OK, but gotta keep the window closed if you dont want to hear church bells going off every 45 mins. Cons: Oh boy, I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt because the host was kind enough to give me another quilt when I was ill and cold. But there was just so many things that are clearly just being left to degrade. Almost like they have given up on trying to fix things. First of all, the TV randomly at exactly 11.45pm every night turns on by itself. I thought it was weird the first night, confused the 2nd and really annoyed on the 3rd. The shower does not drain fast enough, so showers need to be taken in short bursts. The walls are peeling because theres clearly a leaky roof, and that does create black mould problems. The chair they provided is filthy. Theres still hair and marks and stains from whoever used it last. The "terrace" gets almost 0% sun and doesnt have any furniture or a view other than surprised pigeons. Furniture thats fallen off the wall is just tossed to one side. There is construction equipment everywhere in the kitchen/sofa/patio area. Kitchen cups and plates are often left unwashed or washed with a mauldy dish cloth and left on drying racks that have black mould. I was locked out of my room for a while because I didnt position the key in the exact position to unlock the door. Which has handles falling off. (See photos) And if you thought this was a one off there was a couple that tried to open the door opposite my accom who also struggled to get into their room. The doors/walls are so cheap and thin I could hear people vividly in the shower as I walked past their rooms.

    Good quality-price but needs renovation

Liked: Good quality-price. Great location. Room with adequate size. The bed was big and confortable. The small balcony/patio was nice, with an okay view, despite being indoor, worth the price increase.

Disliked: The room needs renovation, especially due to humidity problems which are very visibly damaging the room. The bathroom is smaller than it seemed, but the bathtube is spacious. However, the bathtube is draining poorly.

Disliked: The apartment is currently being renovated, so the place is a bit messy, and there are traces of plaster and dust in the hallways and throughout the house. The bed in the bedroom is extremely noisy, which makes for a less-than-pleasant night's sleep.
