Fabulous
Working farm with a secret garden
Liked: The stay on a working farm was everything you would expect - from the unpaved road to get there to the tractors and machinery in the yard. Once you enter the apartment everything is there that you need and the back door leading into the garden is like entering a secret green paradise of plants. Peace, quiet, nature and tranquility is what you get. At the same time you are just 10 mins from parking your car at the edge of Evora - a town which was a surprise and well worth the visit. There is a special place on the farm - signposted Sunset. Just a simple swing seat and a view. Nothing more is needed - Thank you George and Lucia

Went in search of peace and quiet and got more than expected
Liked: Ideal for who wants to escape the noise of the week. Peace and quiet is what you get in this place. Just tranquility, nature and 7 min by car from the center of Evora. Owners are 5 star people, staff is friendly and helpful. Who likes animals there are horses, a donkey sheep, dogs a lake, a pool to relax and cool off, and a spot to watch a beautiful sunset.
Disliked: Overall everything was great. If there was one thing I had to complain was the lack of AC in the rooms. Besides that nothing else to mention.
Liked: The large apartment is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. It is a great location, but you do need a car. Hosts make you feel very welcome.
A peaceful and charming retreat in the heart of the Alentejo, perfect for families seeking privacy and relaxation
Liked: Monte da Serralheira is a retreat where tranquility and relaxation truly come alive. I was lucky enough to spend two nights there with my family, enjoying complete privacy and peace in a stunning setting. The owner gave us a personal tour of the property and warmly shared its history with us — a wonderful touch that made the stay feel all the more special. The house itself was very comfortable, and having an en-suite bathroom in each bedroom was a real convenience. The outdoor areas are absolutely lovely, and the pool is a true oasis in the Évora region. The only improvement I would suggest is the installation of air conditioning, as the current ventilation system can be a little noisy for a restful night's sleep. That aside, it was a truly memorable stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind in the heart of the Alentejo.

Liked: George and Lucia were incredible hosts throughout our stay. It was my birthday and they delivered a bottle of wine for us to celebrate, very kind.! We had to charge our car and George went out of his way to help me, disconnecting his own car! A very quiet place, near to Evora, great for sightseeing. Pool and gardens are lovely, dogs are large but very friendly! Games room very nice as is the patio area.
Disliked: As with a lot of Portuguese property it suffers from rising damp throughout. Cleanliness is not what we would have hoped for, don’t move anything!!
