Awesome
Liked: The location was a bit out of town, but completely worth the travel. We chose this lodging solely based on reviews of the restaurant for dinner. The room was very nice - somewhat like a small apartment with a separate living room with kitchenette with the bathroom separating the bedroom from living space. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was a generous buffet with eggs made to order. The real star of Quinta da Amendoeira was evening dinner with Chef Bernardo. I don't want to spoil the genius of his menu, but WOW! My husband and I opted for the three course meal and asked for different meals so we had an opportunity to try each other's food. Each course, and corresponding wine, exceeded the previous. Dessert was OUT OF THIS WORLD despite my skepticism. Aside from Bernardo's good company, he gave us a truly memorable evening and fantastic meal. If we ever do a return trip to Portugal, we will definitely be returning Quinta da Amendoeira for dinner and lodging.
Disliked: Better signage from the street to know where to go.

Perfect family stay
Liked: Beautiful hotel a really short drive to Evora. The rooms are perfect for a family to stay in with a well equipped kitchen, living area with sofa bed, great shower and separate bedroom area. Nice personal terrace directly outside the room. Heated pool is excellent, a comfortable temperature with different depths good for toddlers through to adults. Staff are very friendly, and the breakfast has lots of variety and is good quality. Good sized kids play area is a bonus. A really great stay and would highly recommend.
