Fabulous
A comfortable and spacious stay with a very friendly host, in a convenient location close to the airport
Liked: The property was spacious, clean, and conveniently located close to the airport, which made travel very easy. The host was very friendly, welcoming, and cooperative during our stay.
Disliked: As we visited during winter, the apartment felt a bit cold and there was no heater available. This might not be an issue during the summer, but having a heater would make winter stays more comfortable.
Liked: Very good location, with a gorgeous view over the ocean. Very close to the airport. There wasn't any noise from the planes during the evenings and nights. Quiet neighborhoods. The apartment has also a balcony where you can dine. The host is very welcoming and open to help.
Disliked: The furniture is very old and the apartment should be renovated. The blankets were full of dust. My son, allergic to mites and dust, suffered during the nights. With a little renovation, the situation can easily be improved.

Liked: The host was extremely kind and welcoming. He picked us up from the airport and brought us to the apartment, where a surprise was waiting for us. The apartment was cosy, fully equipped and very pleasant. Even without a car, we could travel around the whole island, because there is a bus stop just outside the building and Machico can be easily reached on foot via a path.
Liked: Easy check in, spacious apartment
Disliked: Noisy (road and airport). Felt like it could’ve been a little cleaner
Liked: The apartment has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the location, which is close to the airport, Funchal, and just a short drive from several great hikes. The host was very kind, helpful, and quick to respond. He made our day by surprising us with some fresh fruit.
Disliked: The only downside is the noise from the nearby airport. Light sleepers might have some issues, however, it didn’t bother us too much, as we got used to it.
Liked: Convenient close to the airport, but a bit far from everything else. Decent kitchen
Disliked: Bed was rather basic for 2 persons
