Exceptional
Great, modern property, in an excellent location
Liked: It was very close to the sandy beach, and the centre of Machico. A pair of very nice restaurants within 1mins walk - literally. It was modern, well decorated, and a really nice property with various outdoor seating areas including 2 balconies. Very comfortable for 4 people.
Disliked: There was an odd odour in the upstairs bathroom. I uninformed Marco, the property manager, who promptly acknowledged the feedback. We left too soon after that feedback to know what was done about it (this is the reason for a 9 not a 10).
Incredible house with everything you need
Liked: The house was amazing - it had absolutely everything we needed. We loved all the terraces and the BBQ. Having 2 bathrooms and 2 showers was great. Location was also really perfect, close to the beach and town.
Disliked: As others mentioned, the car does not fit so you cannot close the gate, but there is also free parking just 1 street away
Liked: Excellent house, highly recommended. We couldn't find better locations, very close to the beach, restaurants.

Lovely villa in the heart of Machico!
Liked: Lovely villa in the heart of Machico! Clean, modern and well equipped, with a great outdoor seating area and BBQ. The location’s perfect — just a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants, and ideal for exploring the island. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We’d definitely stay again!
Disliked: As others have commented, the parking is very awkward.
Really super well kept & well equipped house in great location
Liked: Super modern well equipped & very well kept house. A few queries on arrival were immediately answered & sorted so that everything ran very smoothly. Very comfortable stay with all mod cons. Two good sized bedrooms. Great location so close to the beaches and supermarkets.
Disliked: As with many places on Madiera it's quite difficult to park at the property - access to the parking space is on steepish corner & a tight fit to park even the smallest car. Got better with practice! Also local dogs can be quite noisy at night (their owners seem oblivious to their barking), but that seems to be a common problem in residential areas around the island
