Comfortable stay at an awesome property with an unobstructed view
Liked: Located on a hill near the airport. It had partial view of planes arriving and taking off on runway next to ocean. People park on streets to see this due to the backdrop of the island and the ocean make for a unique setting. The room has a washing machine which helps if staying more than a few days. You can be on any part of the island basically within an hour. The host Fatima met with us and was very pleasant. Madeiras’s streets are narrower and steeper than most places so just enjoy the adventure in that. The sunrise and sunset were also impressive from the rental. Private parking spot versus many rentals do not have one or you have to park on crowded street.
Disliked: Airplane noise can be noisy at times but it’s a small airport and they didn’t have flights during the night.

Liked: The apartment is well equipped, we didn't miss anything. The host is friendly, we also got some fruit as a welcome gift. Considering the price, the apartment is okay. You can walk to the nearest town, but it's a very steep hill back.:)
Disliked: Close to the airport, but fortunately planes no longer took off or landed at night.

Liked: It's obvious why the name of the house is Casa do Mirodouro - the view is magnificent! The apartment is clean and comfortable, and Fátima and José are very friendly hosts who both welcomed us on arrival. José also brought us a big fan on request. Yes, you can hear the planes, but we didn't mind as we had a lot of fun watching them come and go and tracking them on Flightradar:)

Liked: Clean and comfortable apartment with great view at the ocean (beautiful sunrise from the terrace), has everything needed for the stay - fully equipped kitchen incl. basic condiments, washing machine, comfortable bed and extra blankets. The hosts were very accommodating. Located in a nice town, very close to the airport with a view at the runway (I didn’t mind the sound of the planes - was cool to watch them land, and at night I sleep with earplugs anyway).
Disliked: Takes a min for the hot water to reach the apartment but the pressure is strong and it’s pleasantly hot.
